Pantone Juneteenth Illustration
Pantone commissioned me to create a piece for Juneteenth 2024 to be posted on their Instagram account and online on their website. I was directed to create the art to fit into a Pantone swatch. This piece “Freedom” includes a prominent bird. Birds can see ahead, and the bird in this piece is looking towards the future. We are rejoicing as it flies towards equality and freedom. The bird is also able to look back, as we reflect on our journey of progress and the work that lies ahead.
