FACEBOOK Lift Black Voices Video Feature
Facebook interviewed me for their 2021 Lift Black Voices video series featuring Black people working in different disciplines and sharing their individual experiences and viewpoints.
I had the opportunity to talk about my art and share my work on the Facebook platform. In addition to the feature, Facebook commissioned me to create two paintings for the project.
"See Us" and "Hear Us" paintings depict strong, Black women making bold visual statements to be seen and heard and celebrating the powerful, incredible Black women leaders we see today in our communities. It is what "Lift Black Voices" means to me - equality and being seen and heard on the same level as others when our voice and presence if so often ignored or silenced.
